NSW police appeal following theft from bank in Marrickville

Police are appealing for information after cash was stolen from a bank in Marrickville yesterday.

About 3.45pm (Thursday 21 February 2019), police have been told a man entered a bank on Marrickville Road, Marrickville, and approached a teller, before taking an amount of cash and fleeing the scene on foot.

He was not armed, and no injuries were reported.

Officers from Inner West Police Area Command attended and commenced an investigation.

Detectives would like to speak with a man who may be able to assist with inquiries.

He is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, about 180cm tall with short dark hair, wearing a black t-shirt with white print, dark shorts and thongs.
