NSW Police Appeal for Witnesses, Footage of Fairfield Road Rage Assault

Police are appealing for help from the public after a man suffered serious injuries in what is believed to be a road-rage assault in Fairfield overnight.

About 10pm (Thursday 4 January 2024), emergency services were called to the intersection of the Cumberland Highway and Hamilton Road, Fairfield West, following reports a man was found seriously injured on the roadway.

Officers attached to Fairfield City Police Area Command attended and found a 34-year-old man with serious leg injuries.

He was treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being taken to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition.

Officers have commenced an investigation into the incident and are appealing for the driver of a black Ford Ranger displaying red P plates, believed to be in the area at the time who may be able to assist investigators.

Police believe there would have been motorists who witnessed the incident, or who would have dash cam relevant to the investigation and are asking anyone with information to contact Fairfield Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
