NSW police appeal over Griffith service station armed robbery

Police are appealing for public assistance following an armed robbery in the state's south this morning.

Just before 4am today (Sunday 20 January 2019, a man entered a service station on Banna Avenue, Griffith, before threatening the attendant with a knife and demanding cash.

He took cash and cigarettes before running from the store in a northerly direction on Banna Avenue.

Officers from Murrumbidgee Police District attended and established a crime scene.

Police are appealing to locate a man described as being aged 20-25, 175cm-180cm tall, with a solid build, last seen wearing a black hooded jumper, black gloves, and a face covering.
