NSW police charge man over up-skirting at Redfern Railway Station

Police investigating an alleged up-skirting incident at Redfern have today charged a man over the incident which occurred last month, NSW Police say.

About 12.30pm on Friday 7 September 2018, a man got off a train from Woolooware at the Redfern Railway Station and walked onto the escalators directly behind a woman.

The man allegedly began filming up her skirt.

Officers from Redfern Police Area Command were notified and commenced an investigation.

Following further investigations about 10.30am today (Wednesday 24 October 2018) officers arrested a 47-year-old man in Ashfield.

He was conveyed to Burwood Police Station and later charged with intentionally record intimate image without consent.

The man was granted conditional bail to appear at the Downing Centre Local Court on Monday 12 November 2018.
