NSW police charge man over 'up-skirting' of schoolgirl at Hornsby

Police have charged a man after he allegedly used a mobile phone to ‘up-skirt’ a school student at Hornsby earlier today, NSW Police say.

About 4.30pm today, officers attached to the Police Transport Command were approached by an 18-year-old female school student at Hornsby Railway Station.

After speaking with the student the officers approached a man as he attempted to leave the station.

The man was detained and searched with officers locating two mobile phones which were examined.

Police will allege that one phone contained inappropriate images of the school student they had been speaking to.

The 19-year-old man was arrested and conveyed to Hornsby Police Station. As part of the investigation officers seized the two mobile phones and a laptop computer for further forensic analysis.

He was later charged with film person’s private parts without consent and refused bail to appear at Hornsby Local Court tomorrow.

Inquiries into the incident continue.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
