NSW police charge man with high-range PCA

A man has allegedly been caught driving at more than six times the legal limit in Sydney's north west yesterday.

About 3:50pm (Friday 1 March 2019) police will allege a 46-year-old man attempted to park a Nissan Navara sedan on Merriville Road, Kellyville Ridge and blocked an entrance to a round-a-bout.

Concerned by his actions and behaviour, residents detained the man and called police.

Officers from Quakers Hill Police Area Command attended, and the man returned a positive reading to a roadside breath test.

He was arrested and taken to Riverstone Police Station where he underwent a breath analysis and returned an alleged reading of 0.378.

His driver's licence was suspended.

The Budgewoi man was issued a Court Attendance Notice for drive with high range PCA and is due to appear at Blacktown Local Court on Monday 11 March 2019.
