Four men have been arrested following the execution of six search warrants in the state’s north this week, NSW Police say.
Strike Force Butcher was established in July by Richmond Local Area Command to investigate the ongoing supply of methylamphetamine and stolen property in the area.
On Tuesday 16 August 2016, officers from Richmond TAG unit, with assistance from the Dog Unit executed a search warrant at a home on Campbell Crescent, Goonellabah.
During the search, police allegedly located cannabis, ammunition, suspected stolen property and a native lizard.
A 35-year-old man from Goonellabah was arrested at the home; however, released pending further inquiries.
On the same day, a search warrant was executed at a home on Carlton Avenue, Goonellabah. Nothing was located or seized.
About 7am yesterday, officers executed a search warrant on Battrels Road, Mcleans Ridge.
During the search, police allegedly located several items including 268 SIM cards that are believed to be stolen, cannabis, methylamphetamine, and knuckle dusters.
A search warrant was also executed at a home on Cedar Court, Alstonville, yesterday, where police allegedly located and seized methylamphetamine, cash, a knife, flare and a motorcycle believed to be stolen.
A 27 year-old man from Lismore was arrested at the home. He is currently assisting with inquiries at Lismore Police Station. Charges are expected to be laid.
today, officers executed a search warrant at a home on McCaulay Street, North Lismore, where they allegedly located and seized five 1kg ingots of silver, cash, weapons, methylamphetamine and cannabis.
Two men, aged 40 and 41, were arrested at the home. Charges are expected to be laid.
