NSW police probe bag snatches in Sydney's Inner West

Police are investigating two separate bag snatches across Sydney’s inner west last night, NSW Police say.

The first incident occurred about 8.50pm on Loftus Crescent, Homebush, when a 23-year-old woman was walking along the footpath.

A man ran up behind her and snatched her handbag before getting into a black SUV and driving away.

The second incident occurred about 9.35pm on Russell Street, Strathfield, as a 23-year-old woman was walking home from the train station.

A man ran up behind her and snatched her handbag before getting into a back SUV being driven by another man.

Neither of the women involved was hurt during the incidents, and on each occasion a similar description of a man has been given.

He has been described as Caucasian in appearance, about 175cm tall and wearing a back hooded jumper and long pants.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
