NSW police probe glassing

Police are investigating a glassing in Sydney’s south west.

About 10.30pm yesterday today, a 31-year-old woman was at a licenced premises on Harold Street, Macquarie Fields, when she became involved in a verbal argument with two unknown females.

The argument turned physical when one of the women struck the 31-year-old on the head with a beer glass, before striking her again in the neck.

The two women left the scene and police from Macquarie Fields Local Area Command attended and established a crime scene, NSW Police say.

The victim was taken to Liverpool Hospital for non life-threatening injuries.

The first woman is described as Pacific Islander appearance, with dark hair and the right half of her head shaved. She also had an undescribed tattoo over her right eyebrow. She was wearing a black hooded jumper.

The second woman is described as Pacific Islander appearance, of a large build, with dark hair, and she was wearing a pink hooded jumper at the time.

Detectives from Macquarie Fields Local Area Command are conducting inquiries into the incident.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stopers.
