NSW Police Probe Suspicious Tweed Heads Fire

Police are appealing for information following a suspicious fire at Tweed Heads South last year.

About 7.50pm on Tuesday 17 October 2023, emergency services were called to Parkside Drive, Tweed Heads South, following reports of a fire at a business and storage shed facility.

Over two days, Fire and Rescue NSW Firefighters battled the blaze; however, the fire resulted in the destruction of the facility and all property within it.

There were no reports of injuries as a result of the fire.

A crime scene was established by officers from Tweed/Byron Police District who commenced inquiries into the incident.

As part of inquiries, police have released CCTV footage of a man and a vehicle seen in the area at the time of the incident.

The man is depicted in the footage wearing a white jumper, with dark shorts and white shoes.

The vehicle is described as a white hatchback.

Police believe the man and any accompanying person/s in the vehicle might be able to assist police with their investigation.
