NSW police release CCTV and appeal for info following robbery

Police investigating a robbery in Bondi Junction late last year have released a CCTV image of two men who they consider may be able to assist them with continuing inquiries into the incident., NSW Police say

About 9.30pm (14 December 2016), a 38-year-old man was walking along Spring Street, Bondi Junction, when an unknown man approached him and stole his bag containing cash and a mobile phone.

The victim then chased the offender and as they approached the intersection of Denison and Ebley Streets the offender called out to a second man.

The 38-year-old man was then punched by the second unknown man.

Both men then continued to kick and punch the victim before running off. They were last seen heading east on Ebley Street.

The 38-year-old man suffered minor injuries as a result.

It is believed the two offenders were picked up by a third man in a grey hatchback.

Police from Eastern Suburbs Local Area Command are investigating the incident.

Investigators have today released a CCTV image of two men they believe can assist with inquiries in relation to this incident in the hope someone can identify them.

The first man is described as being 170cm tall with a muscular build and short, black, curly hair. At the time of the incident he was seen wearing a beige/brown t-shirt.

The second man is described as being 170cm tall with a muscular build. At the time of the incident he was seen wearing black and white vertical striped shirt and dark cargo shoes.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
