NSW police release 'comfit' image following child approach

Police have released a ‘comfit’ image of man who might be able to assist with inquiries following a child approach on the Central Coast yesterday, NSW Police say.

About 3.30pm yesterday, a 12-year-old boy was playing with his brothers and sisters in a park on Regatta Way, Summerland Point.

Police have been told the 12-year-old boy was approached by a man, who tried to speak to the boy.

The boy has run back into his house.

Officers attached to Tuggerah Lakes Local Area Command attended the location and commenced a canvass of the area.

Police would like to speak to a man who is described as being Caucasian appearance, 20-30 years old, about183cm, of athletic build with a blond goatee. The man was last seen wearing a white board shorts, black hooded jumper and a black baseball cap.

Investigations are continuing and police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
