NSW Police Seek Help to Find Missing Teen in Cumberland

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a missing teenage boy from Sydney's south-west.

Waylen Parkes, aged 14, was last seen at Girraween, about 12pm yesterday (Friday 7 June 2024).

When he was unable to be located or contacted, officers attached to Cumberland Police Area Command were notified today (Saturday 8 June 2024) and commenced inquiries into his whereabouts.

Due to his age, there are serious concerns for his's welfare.

Waylen is described as being Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, 160cm, medium build, brown eyes and short dark hair.

He was last seen wearing a black jacket, grey shorts and black shoes.

Waylen is known to frequent the Cumberland, Leichhardt and Inner West areas.

Inquiries have established that he maybe in the Balmain area.

Anyone with information into Waylen's whereabouts is urged to call Granville Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
