NSW police seek info into armed robbery at storage facility

Police are appealing for information as inquiries continue into an armed robbery at a storage facility in Sydney’s south-west earlier this year, NSW Police say.

About 8am on Monday 29 February 2016, police from Ashfield Local Area Command were called to a self storage facility on Canterbury Road, Canterbury, following reports of an armed robbery.

Police were told two men confronted a male staff member as he entered the facility and threatened him with a firearm before removing property from a storage unit and fleeing the scene.

The 26-year-old staff member was uninjured.

Detectives from State Crime Command’s Robbery and Serious Crime Squad established Strike Force Rosnay to investigate the incident.

Following inquiries, strike force investigators are appealing for information to identify a man, who they believe may be able to assist with inquiries.

The man is depicted as being of Mediterranean/Middle Eastern appearance, about 170cm tall, with a medium build, dark brown hair and brown eyes.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stopers.
