ADVICE TO THE PUBLIC:
Weather Situation: Severe Tropical Cyclone Fina is moving southwest and is currently to the southwest of the Tiwi Islands. Bands of heavy rain are extending from Severe Tropical Cyclone Fina to the east affecting the Tiwi Islands and northern parts of the Daly district.
HEAVY RAINFALL which may lead to FLASH FLOODING is likely in the warning area. Six hourly totals of 60 to 100 mm are likely, with isolated totals of 150 mm possible.
Strong winds averaging 50 to 60 km/h with DAMAGING WINDS GUSTS up to 100 km/h are possible with showers and thunderstorms.
Conditions will continue to ease from the east during Sunday night as Severe Tropical Cyclone Fina continues to track towards the southwest.
