NT Police Hunt for Info on Palmerston Vehicle Thefts

Northern Territory Police are seeking information after 4 government vehicles were stolen from Palmerston overnight.

About 9:55pm the Joint Emergency Service Communication Centre received a report that vehicles had been used to ram through a secured roller door in the Goyder Centre.

Strike Force Trident officers and Dog Operations Unit members attended the Goyder Centre where they found government offices on 2 floors had been entered and cupboards damaged and vehicle keys missing.

CCTV operators monitored the 4 vehicles where possible after they left the Goyder centre.

Police also received multiple calls of NT Government vehicles being driven erratically.

Three of the four vehicles were recovered abandoned around Palmerston in the hours after the initial report was made.

A fourth vehicle, believed to be a silver Toyota Hilux with registration number NTG833362 remains outstanding.

Whilst the offenders have not been located as yet, the recovered vehicles have been seized for forensic testing.

Police are urging anyone with information about the incident to call 131 444 and quote job P23363987.
