NT Police Officer of Year

Congratulations to Senior Constable Brodie Anderson, the 2021 Rotary Club of Darwin NT Police Officer of the Year.

SC Anderson is based in Alice Springs and currently works as a Welfare Officer.

Deputy Commissioner Murray Smalpage said, "The Welfare Officer is a highly-demanding role that requires astute thinking, compassion and empathy in supporting the health and wellbeing of serving members across the Northern Territory Police, Fire and Emergency Services operating in the Barkly and Southern regions.

"The outstanding services delivered by Senior Constable Anderson underpin the continued ability of our officers to serve and protect the community. She might not have a highly-visible role, but it is a vital one for the NT Police, Fire and Emergency Services.

"Senior Constable Anderson provides support and care of members and their families who are experiencing periods of hardship, grief, family breakdown or when injured whilst on duty."

Senior Constable Anderson formally received her award at a private reception last night at Government House, hosted by Her Honour The Honourable Vicki O'Halloran AO, Administrator of the Northern Territory.
