NT Fire and Rescue Service (NTFRS) are currently responding to a structure fire in Alice Springs.
Around 11:15am, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received reports of a fire at an apartment building on Nelson Terrace, Araluen.
Emergency services attended, with NTFRS members working to extinguish the blaze.
The occupants of the building were able to safely evacuate prior to the arrival of emergency services.
The residence sustained significant damage, with the fire burning through the roof of the building.
No injuries have been reported at this stage.
A fire investigator has been called to the scene to assess the cause of the fire.
NTFRS reminds the community to ensure smoke alarms are installed, working and regularly tested. Residents are also encouraged to have an evacuation plan in place and to get out, stay out and call Triple Zero (000) in the event of a fire.
