NZ police arrest man after Invercargill search

A 35-year-old man will appear in Invercargill District Court tomorrow following an arrest in Grasmere, Invercargill, this afternoon.

The man had been sought by Police during the execution of a warrant to arrest in the Grasmere area this morning. He was unable to be located during the execution of that warrant, and a search was undertaken.

During the search cordons were put in place and the Police dog unit was deployed to track the man.

The man was subsequently spotted by members of the public this afternoon and taken into custody around 3:30pm.
