Police can now release the name of the person who died following a crash the Whangamoa Saddle (SH6) between Rai Valley and Hira on Wednesday 2 October.
He was 18-year-old Cameron Alexander Anderson of Nelson.
Police offer their sympathies to his families and friends at this time.
