Police can now confirm the name of the 19-year-old man who died in Wellington Hospital after falling from a central Wellington building in the early hours of Monday morning, 25 March.
He was Canadian national Tyler James Bates.
Mr Bates was taken to hospital in a critical condition after falling from a building accessed off Gilmer Terrrace around 2:50am on Monday.
Police's thoughts are with his family at this tragic time.
His death has been referred to the Coroner.
