The Sydney resident held one of the 18 division one winning entries nationally in Saturday Lotto draw 4639 on Saturday 3 January 2026. Each division one winning entry scored $1,666,666.67.
"I had no idea!" he exclaimed when speaking to us.
"I saw on the news this morning that there had been 18 division one winners in the draw, but I hadn't even looked at my ticket.
"Wow!
"The last thing I won was a meat tray!
"This is actually the first time I've played Lotto. I play Powerball every now and then when the jackpot gets big.
"I just thought on New Year's Eve, 'I'll get a ticket into that'.
"My wife is almost falling off the lounge right now.
"This will allow us to pay off the mortgage. I might also get the golf clubs I've been wanting to get. We might even do a trip to Hawaii.
"This just sets us up. We'll still have to work, but we're working for us now.
"Happy days!"
