The Oakleigh Outdoor Pool closed at 3.30pm today due to poor air quality conditions from smoke from the bushfires in East Gippsland and Tasmania impacting much of east Victoria, including Melbourne.
Active Monash made this decision in the interests of public health safety.
We encourage people to observe health advice to minimise their exposure to the smoky air conditions, where possible, especially if you have lung and heart conditions (including asthma), are pregnant, aged over 65 and children under 14 years.
