Off duty officer charged with drink driving - Narellan

An off-duty police officer has been charged with a drink-driving offence.

Just after 11pm Friday 11 October 2019, officers from Campbelltown Traffic and Highway Patrol stopped a vehicle on Richardson Road, Narellan, and submitted the driver to a roadside breath test, returning a positive result.

He was arrested and taken to Eagle Vale Police Station, where he underwent a breath analysis and returned an alleged reading of 0.088

The 36-year-old senior constable, who is attached to a South West Metropolitan Region Command, was issued with a Field Court Attendance Notice for the offence of drive with mid-range PCA.

He is due to appear at Picton Local Court on Tuesday 29 October 2019.

His licence was also suspended.
