Off-duty Police Officer Injured In Seaford Hit-run

Frankston Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for dashcam footage after a cyclist was struck in Seaford this morning.

A male off-duty police officer, who was cycling to work, was located with serious injuries on the side of the Nepean Highway, north of Gould Street about 6am.

It is understood he was hit by a vehicle.

The 61-year-old was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The driver did not stop at the scene.

Police believe the vehicle will have damage to the front and left side.

Detectives are appealing for anyone driving on the Nepean Highway between Frankston and Carrum around the time of the collision to check their dashcam.

Investigations are ongoing into the circumstances of the collision.
