Officer charged - Central Metropolitan Region 10 May

A police officer has been charged with driving offences.

In December 2022, an investigation commenced into reports of dangerous driving by a police officer while on duty.

Following inquiries, a male constable attached to the Central Metropolitan Region, was issued a court attendance notice for a range of driving offences including drive recklessly/furiously or speed/manner dangerous.

The 21-year-old man will appear in Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday 21 May 2023.

His employment status is now under review.
