A police officer has been charged following an investigation into an alleged assault last year.
In November 2020, officers attached to the Sutherland Shire Police Area Command commenced an investigation following an assault reported to police.
Following inquiries, a 44-year-old detective senior constable, who is attached to a command in the Central Metropolitan Region, was issued a Court Attendance Notice for common assault, yesterday (Wednesday 25 August 2021).
She has been granted conditional bail to appear at Sutherland Local Court on Wednesday 6 October 2021.
