A police officer has been charged after allegedly sending indecent material to a child.
Earlier this month, officers from the Professional Standards Command commenced an investigation after receiving information about the alleged online activities of an officer.
Following inquiries, a constable attached a command within the Central Metropolitan Region was issued a court attendance notice for use carriage service to send indecent material to person less than 16 years.
He was bailed to appear at Liverpool Local Court on 25 May 2022.
The man's employment status is under review.
