Officer charged in Sydney's south

A serving police officer has been charged over alleged misconduct.

In March 2020, an investigation was commenced after reports of alleged domestic-violence-related incidents.

Following inquiries, a 32-year-old senior constable, attached to a command in Sydney's south-west, was arrested on Wednesday 5 August 2020.

He has been charged with three counts of common assault, use carriage service to menace/harass/offend; and stalk/intimidate intend fear physical harm.

The officer was granted conditional bail to appear before Campbelltown Local Court today (Tuesday 11 August 2020).

The senior constable is currently on leave without pay.
