Officer charged - North West Metropolitan Region 18 August

An officer will appear in court next month charged over alleged misconduct offences.

In April this year, investigators from the Professional Standards Command commenced inquiries into the alleged misconduct of a 34-year-old male constable attached to a command in the Northern West Metropolitan Region.

Following inquiries, a Court Attendance Notice for 12 offences was served on the officer's legal representative earlier today (Wednesday 18 August 2021).

The charges include holder of public office misconduct him or herself, public official unlawfully disclose information, and 10 counts of access/modify restricted data held in computer.

He is due to appear at Hornsby Local Court on Wednesday 29 September 2021.

The officer is currently suspended from duty.
