Officer charged - North West Metropolitan Region

A police officer has been charged with sexual touching after an off-duty incident in June.

Investigators from the Professional Standards Command (PSC) have been investigating allegations the officer sexually touched a woman during a function at Manly on Sunday 16 June 2019, when he was off-duty.

Following inquiries, the officer was yesterday (Thursday 12 September 2019), served with a Future Court Attendance Notice for the offence of sexual touching.

The officer is a 37-year-old senior constable attached to a Police Area Command in the North West Metropolitan Region.

He is expected to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on Thursday 24 October 2019.
