A police officer will face court over alleged illegal computer access.
The 31-year-old male constable attached to a command in the Northern Region is alleged to have accessed the police computer system for non-work-related matters.
Following extensive inquiries, a Future Court Attendance Notice was served on the officer yesterday (Thursday 4 June 2026) for the offence of access/modify restricted data held in computer.
He is due to appear at Coffs Harbour Local Court on Wednesday 12 August 2026.
The officer remains in the workplace.
