Officer Charged Over DV Offences - Western Region

A police officer has been charged following an investigation into alleged domestic violence offences.

In March 2025, officers attached to Western Region Command commenced an investigation into reports of alleged offences involving an off-duty police officer between March 2024 and September 2024.

Police were told the man allegedly verbally intimidated a woman at a home in April 2024.

Further investigation identified that sometime between August and September 2024, he allegedly assaulted two children at the same home.

Following inquiries, the 44-year-old man attached to a specialist command was served a Court Attendance Notice today (Tuesday 16 September 2025) for two counts of common assault (DV) and stalk/intimidate intend fear physical etc harm (domestic).

He is due to appear at Armidale Local Court on Monday 27 October 2025.

The officer remains employed by New South Wales Police Force on a risk management plan.
