A serving police officer has been charged following an investigation by the Professional Standards Command.
Strike Force Daphne was formed to investigate allegations involving a 15-year-old girl, after a report was made to police on Friday 30 September 2022.
Following inquiries, a 28-year-old man was arrested at a home about 7pm yesterday (Saturday 1 October 2022), before being charged with two counts of have sexual intercourse with child >=14 &
The probationary constable – who is attached to a South West Metropolitan Region Command – was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Court today (Sunday 2 October 2022).
He has been stood down from duties while his employment status is under review.
