An off-duty police officer has been charged after allegedly assaulting two women in Sydney's south.
On Sunday 9 February 2025, police were called to a home in Caringbah, following reports of a domestic violence incident.
Police were told a 53-year-old man had allegedly assaulted two women, aged 53 and 36, during an altercation.
The man was arrested and taken to Sutherland Police Station where he was later released pending further investigation.
Following inquiries, the 53-year-old man - a senior constable attached to a specialist command - was issued a court attendance notice charged today, Friday 20 June 2025, for common assault (DV) and common assault.
The man will appear before Sutherland Local Court on Wednesday 6 August 2025.
The officer's employment status is currently under review.
