An off-duty police officer has been charged following an alleged assault.
About 12.50am today (Saturday 26 November 2023), officers from Kings Cross Police Area Command responded to reports of an assault along William Street, Darlinghurst.
A 26-year-old male constable attached to a specialist command was arrested at the scene and taken to Kings Cross Police Station.
The man was charged with three counts of common assault and one count of common assault (DV).
He was granted conditional bail to appear at the Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday 13 December 2023.
Investigations into the matter are continuing.
The officer's employment status is currently under review.
