Officer Charged - Western Region 13 November

A police officer has been charged after an investigation into an alleged domestic violence incident in the states west.

On Thursday 6 November 2025, officers attached to Western Region commenced an investigation following reports of a domestic violence related incident in Dubbo.

Police were told a 44-year-old man had allegedly assaulted a person known to him during an altercation.

Following investigations, the man – a senior constable attached to a Western Region Command - was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm (Domestic Violence) and common assault (Domestic Violence).

He is due to appear before Orange Local Court on Tuesday 13 January 2026.

His employment is under review.
