Officer charged with larceny, NSW

A police officer has been charged with a larceny offence which allegedly occurred in Sydney’s south-west.

On 2 February 2016, a lost wallet was handed to a male constable at a police station in the South West Metropolitan Region.

It is alleged the officer did not process the wallet as found property, and stole a small amount of cash from the wallet.

Following an investigation, the officer was served with a Future Court Attendance Notice for the offence of Larceny on Wednesday 18 May 2016.

He is expected to appear at Campbelltown Local Court on 4 July 2016.
