Officer Injured After Crash At Blacktown

An officer has been freed following a two-vehicle crash in Sydney's west.

About 3pm today (Tuesday 2 December 2025) emergency services were called to Bungaribee Road, Blacktown, following reports of a crash.

Officers attached to Blacktown Police Area Command arrived to find a police vehicle had collided with a Mitsubishi SUV while responding to an urgent incident under lights and sirens.

The driver – a male constable, suffered minor injuries while the female probationary constable was trapped inside the vehicle.

Fire and Rescue NSW worked to free the 25-year-old officer.

She was treated by NSW Ambulance Paramedics before being taken to Westmead Hospital with minor injuries.

The other driver – a 30-year-old man – is assisting police with their inquiries.

Diversions remained in place on Bungarribee Road, drivers are urged to avoid the area.
