It was a case of déjà vu for Melbourne Highway Patrol members this morning in the CBD after they twice caught the same man driving with drugs in his system., Victoria Police say
The 26-year-old Seaford man was first intercepted in Flinders Lane just before 7.30am and a preliminary oral fluid test showed the presence of drugs in his system.
The keys to his black Mercedes were taken and he was told he wouldn’t be able to drive the vehicle.
Shortly after 9.20am the same police unit spotted the same man driving the same vehicle in the same street.
After pulling him over yet again, he returned a second positive preliminary oral fluid test.
Police will await the result of laboratory analysis and he is likely to be charged on summons with a range of traffic offences including disobeying a lawful police direction.
