Olyroos Launch LA 2028 Bid With Korea Republic Matches

The CommBank Olyroos will begin their campaign towards qualification for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games on home soil this October, with two international friendlies against Korea Republic U23s at polytec Stadium in Gosford.

The fixtures mark the first step on the road to LA28, with the CommBank Olyroos first aiming to qualify for the AFC U-23 Asian Cup 2028, with pre-qualification matches in June 2027, which will determine Asia's representatives at the Olympic Games.

The first match will be played in front of fans at polytec Stadium on Saturday, 3 October, with tickets going on sale at 10.30am AEST on Friday, 11 September. The teams will meet again at the same venue on Tuesday, 6 October in a match closed to the public.

The October fixtures will also mark the first time the CommBank Olyroos have played on Australian soil since September 2019, when they recorded consecutive 1-1 draws against New Zealand U23s at WIN Stadium in Wollongong and Campbelltown Stadium.

Both matches will be available to stream on 10 Streaming.
