One arrested for assault at Munno Para West, South Australia

One man was arrested and investigations are continuing into a violent disturbance at Munno Para West last night.

Police received multiple calls to Triple Zero at 10.30pm on Thursday 27 June reporting a fight at Carbone Drive, Munno Para West.

It will be alleged two men attended an address and assaulted the occupant. An altercation ensued involving other people, with one of the suspects sustaining serious injuries. He left the scene prior to police arrival. Police searched the area, concerned for his welfare, but have not yet located him.

Another suspect was detained by the victims and arrested by police.

The 25-year-old Mawson Lakes man also sustained serious injuries and was taken to the Lyell McEwin hospital for treatment. He was charged with aggravated assault cause harm and aggravated criminal trespass and will likely face a bedside hearing today.

The victim sustained injuries to his face and hands as a result of the assault and was taken to the Modbury Hospital for treatment. His injuries are not life-threatening.
