One day you're gonna get caught, South Australia

A man was arrested at Findon overnight after being caught on a fence while trying to run from police.

Police were called to Trimmer Parade, Findon just before 3am on Wednesday 27 February after reports of someone smashing windows at a house under construction. The witness yelled out and the suspect ran off.

Police searched the area and spotted a suspect nearby, who ran off when the patrol approached. They lost sight of him, but soon found him dangling upside down from a 6-foot fence by his underwear after he became caught while trying to jump the fence.

The 23-year-old Seaton man was arrested and charged with unlawfully on premises, breach of bail and carry offensive weapon after a knife was found in his pocket. Investigations into the property damage are continuing.

He was bailed to appear in the Port Adelaide Magistrates Court at a later date.

Anyone who sees or hears any suspicious activity on building sites, vacant premises, businesses or schools is encouraged to call the police assistance line on 131 444 for patrol attendance.
