One man arrested after fail to stop crash at Parramatta

A man has been arrested after another man was left with serious injuries following fail to stop crash in Sydney's west last night.

About 9.20pm (Sunday 23 May 2021), a 39-year-old man had parked his car near the intersection of Marion and Wigram Streets, when he was hit by a vehicle that did not stop.

The man was treated at the scene before being taken to Westmead Hospital for treatment for serious leg injuries.

Officers from Parramatta Police Area Command attended and an investigation was commenced by specialist officers from the Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit.

Following inquiries, a 26-year-old man was arrested at Parramatta Police Station about 12.15pm today (Monday 24 May 2021), where he is currently assisting police with inquiries.
