One year on: So, how are you really doing?

We're all continuing to face unprecedented challenges due to the COVID-19 pandemic, so one of the most important things we can do in Maroondah is ask one another, 'how are you doing?'

And that's exactly what Council is doing.

One year after we first sought your feedback to assist with the development of our COVID-19 Recovery Plan, we want to find out - firstly and most importantly - are you OK? Also, what supports do you think will be needed in Maroondah over the next 12 months?

Initially, we undertook an extensive community survey, which attracted almost 3,000 responses from our community. With the guidance of this feedback, we developed a staged response to relief and recovery in Maroondah.

One year on, and in the third stage of our strategy, we are asking our community 'how are you feeling?' and 'how have things changed?'

From Monday 19 July to Wednesday 4 August, community members can provide their valuable feedback through our Your Say engagement portal.

While individual experiences from within our community may be vastly different, we want to hear from a wide cross-section so we can continue to ensure our services and supports are meeting our community's needs.

Maroondah Mayor, Councillor Kylie Spears, encourages the community to participate in the survey, so we can continue to look out for one another.

"The COVID-19 pandemic has changed the way we live our everyday lives and the way we connect. Such change poses significant health, lifestyle and economic challenges for us all," Cr Spears said.

"This is no time for complacency. We need to be constantly checking in on friends, family and our community. We need to be looking at the best way to support each other."
