Operation Tango Triandra at Daisy Hill

Logan detectives have charged a man and a woman following the death of a 5-week-old boy on June 14, 2021.

It will be alleged around 6.45pm that day, paramedics were called to a caravan park on Old Chatswood Road, Daisy Hill, in relation to an unresponsive baby.

The child was transported to Logan Hospital where he was declared deceased around 8.30pm.

Detectives from the Logan Child Protection and Investigation Unit launched 'Operation Tango Triandra', with the assistance of the Child Trauma Task Force, Crime and Intelligence Command.

Subsequent investigations lead detectives to execute a search warrant at Yatala around 7am yesterday where they arrested a man.

Detectives also arrested a woman at Zillmere around the same time. Both were known to the child.

A 44-year-old Stretton man and 36-year-old Zillmere woman have now both been charged with one count of murder.

They are scheduled to appear at the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Thursday November 24 (today).

Police are now appealing to anyone with information regarding the death of this baby, to come forward.
