Optus brings improved mobile coverage to Wimmera

Optus has switched on a new tower in the Wimmera bringing improved coverage to Western Horsham.

The new site, located along the Wimmera Highway, will deliver improved 4G and 3G in-building coverage to parts of Western Horsham, with a specific focus on improving mobile coverage along the highway.

Optus Territory General Manager for South West Victoria Alan Rigoni said, The new site will not only improve coverage for those living and working in Western Horsham but will extend 4G and 3G coverage when travelling along the Wimmera highway towards Natimuk.

As we understand the importance for travellers along the highway to be able to stay connected with their friends and family through reliable voice and data access, its great to know they are continuing to see an improving Optus network.

Optus priority is to deliver the best service, value and choice to our customers and this new regional site will play a key role in helping to facilitate this across the Wimmera.

Optus continues to invest in its network to improve coverage, reliability and speed across its Australian mobile network, with the new tower in the Wimmera providing a competitive telecommunications alternative for local residents and businesses.
