Optus coverage lands at Royal Australian Air Force Base in East Sale

Optus has switched on a new tower nearby the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Base in East Sale, bringing dedicated Optus coverage to the base and surrounding community for the first time.

The new site will unlock access to Optus network coverage and will extend across the base which is situated in Victorias Gippsland region.

Optus Territory General Manager for Eastern Victoria, Jayson Grool said he was thrilled to bring much needed coverage to more of East Sale as it delivers competition and choice to those working and living in the area.

We are proud to deliver Optus coverage to the local community, including service men and women at the RAAF Base in East Sale, ensuring they are able to stay connected with their family and friends through dedicated voice and data access.

The RAAF Base in East Sale is one of Gippslands largest employers, so we understand how critical it is for those living and working in this area to have mobile reception whether its for personal, health, education or business reasons.

This tower has been sought after by those living and working on the site. We look forward to providing our customers with a real network alternative and exceptional value.

Optus made a commitment to deliver improved services across regional Victoria and this new site will provide a significant boost for coverage in the Gippsland region, whilst also providing greater stability and mobility on our network, Mr Grool added.

East Sale is one of hundreds of regional areas enjoying Optus 4G network which now covers 97.3 percent of the Australian population.
