Optus strengthens network coverage in Calala

Optus has switched on a new mobile tower in the Calala region of North West New South Wales, providing dedicated capacity and bandwidth as well as enhanced indoor coverage to the residents of the suburb. The new site is located on Whipbird Street in Calala.

Calala is located seven kilometres from Tamworth and has a population of just under 4,000. Calala is becoming a sought-after location for families, with great schools and facilities located close by.

Its fantastic to be expanding coverage with another tower added to our Optus network across regional New South Wales. Our mission, as we continue to expand our footprint and strengthen the digital economy, is to help people on the go to stay connected and have a reliable and strong connection to the network. As we roll out our best network ever, we know that customers want faster download speeds and reliable connectivity so they can stay connected to the things that they love.

The tower in Calala will provide improved 4Gconnectivity, coverage and capacity and also competition and choice for local businesses and residents by offering our network at a great value, added Chris.
