Optus strengthens network coverage in South Hedland

    The new 4G tower located in Southeast Port Hedland improves the density of the mobile coverage in the Pilbara region and enhances the Optus network for the Port Hedland International Airport, the local community, businesses, and visitors to the Western Australia mining town.

    The local airport welcomes more than 400,000 travellers each year, including the many FIFO workers from across the country who work in the mines. The new Optus tower provides improved capacity and coverage and ensures a better network experience for those working, commuting, and living in the area.
